First, we somehow managed to eke by with George W. Bush's reign, but now budgets are deplorable, and many more are out of work. If you find some suggestions on what to do to get by, I'm sure many of us would love to hear your thoughts/suggestions.... (As a production designer, I've been lucky to branch out into film, illustration work and interior design, but not all can do the same. And let's face it, without directors and actors, my job is non-existent)
Looking forward to hearing some ideas :)IAENSTERÄhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00254179703730877112noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8706119774192961138.post-88913754301657578802011-03-28T12:41:37.993-04:002011-03-28T12:41:37.993-04:00Thomas, would you be interested in writing about t...Thomas, would you be interested in writing about the possible changes? It does seem like there's no will for change here in Canada but there are other places that I know would be interested. So it revolves around a small number of individuals who are very careful to protect their interests. As for the work and how it is done, what might measure interest or success, that's not at important really. It truly is a hopeless business to be involved in producing theatre in Canada. For small companies who try to get by on Project grants it cannot end well. The most heroic of martyrs will end up on a pyre after a few productions.
There are solutions for a number of problems, but there is no interest in making changes.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02957578597810020249noreply@blogger.com
